In recent years I have been involved in the design and delivery of a
wide range of in-service to both Whole Staff and small staff groups,
following consultation with school teams dedicated to the improvement of
teaching and learning in their specific school setting.
Whole Staff workshops have included developing school Vision, Expectations, Rules and Routines and Encouragement Systems; Managing Low Level Disruption and preventing escalation; Introduction to Restorative Practices; Understanding Students with Challenging Behaviour; Improving Consistecy at School-Wide level; Social and Emotional Literacy and 1st Year Transition.
Targetted workshops with smaller groups have included Year Head and Tutor training; Understanding and Planning for behaviour with Newly Qualified Teachers and teacher-student mentoring using a Solution Focused Approach.
Whilst working with the NBSS I also continued to work with students from groups of 24 for Peer Mentor Training, smaller groups for programmes such as Why Try and Working Things Out, and individual solution focused work with students in relation to improving their behaviour for learning.

I am currently training as a Trainer of Trainers for the Why Try Programme.
